Announcement regarding the abolition of the Translation Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

We inform you that as of September 1, 2021, the Register of Certified Translators of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was put into operation, replacing the Translation Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This register includes exclusively and only the existing cooperating translators of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (138 professionals).

According to the law creating the register, we inform you that its operation does not affect or does not negate in any way the established and acquired ability of the Ionian University’s graduate translators to carry out equal official translations for individuals and businesses that are accepted by public bodies, in accordance with the relevant Official Gazette of their professional rights, court decisions and circulars of bodies. Besides, it is not the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to regulate the status of translators graduated from the Ionian University.

Therefore, the provision of services by Certified Translators graduated from the Ionian University continues to be carried out in the manner and procedure that has been in force until today, with the aim of providing immediate and quality service to those seeking reliable translation services from university-trained professionals.
